Credit Card Reviews ~ Bad Credit Credit Cards
USA Platinum Review
The USA Platinum, issued by USA Credit, is intended for those with bad or with limited credit who are looking to establish or re-establish credit.
Even if there is a $149.95 account set-up fee, it is considered reasonable as compared to similar products designed to establish credit, many of which can charge fees ranging anywhere between $200 and $400 for the first year of membership. In addition, this card has no annual fee and no interest rate on purchases.
Based on their “No Credit Check or Credit Turndowns” policy, anyone who applies will be accepted although certain restrictions do apply (*See website for terms and conditions).
Those who become active members will be pleased to know that the credit line is reported to a major credit bureau. It also provides new members with unlimited *free access to their credit report for 30 days.
The major drawback of the product is that it can only be used for retail purchases through the USA Shopping Club. In essence, it is a retail charge card that can only be used for select products. However, this may or may not be a drawback for certain members.
Cardholder Benefit/s:
- No APR
- Credit line is reported to a major credit bureau
- No credit checks
- Unlimited *free access to a credit report for 30 days.
* See website for additional benefits.
Therefore, those who are looking for a low cost option to establish or re-establish credit and do not require a card for general everyday purchases may find the USA Platinum to be a suitable option.
Note: We suggest that you carefully read the Terms and Conditions statement that accompanies the credit card application since the information may have changed since the review is written.
